Curse of Strahd - Burgomaster's Mansion

Virtual Tabletop Journey presents the iconic Curse of Strahd - Burgomaster's Mansion, recreated for use in TaleSpire! Explore candlelit rooms, a richly furnished library and a cluttered attic, with reference maps to help you find your way.

Choose Game Ready for actual play, with hide volumes Hidden for your session or Revealed to learn their layout. The Full Artistic version is for viewing and reference; the author does not recommend it for actual play. Get each board or slab from its matching TalesTavern listing below.

Boards and Slabs

The three complete boards are alternatives, not sections you need to assemble:

  • Game Ready - Hide Volumes Hidden: hide volumes are hidden and environment blocks are ready. Simply add your tokens to get into the action.
  • Game Ready - Hide Volumes Revealed: lets the GM get familiar with the hide-volume layout before a session.
  • Full Artistic - Hide Volumes Revealed: the complete artistic showcase, rather than the recommended gameplay version.

Two additional listings provide Game Ready and Full Artistic slabs for the slab workflow. The Game Ready slab does not have the fancier exterior shown in the Full Artistic slab. Use the companion PDF for assembly instructions and other board information.

The gallery includes a separated-floor overview, a multi-floor cutaway and a labeled room reference covering the ground floor, second floor and attic.

The Book Includes

The Burgomaster's Mansion companion PDF at DMsGuild is Pay What You Want, with a free option. It contains alternate room descriptions, assembly instructions and other board information.

  • 20 rooms with revised descriptions.
  • Full-color orthographic reference maps for room identification.
  • Details about the challenges of converting 2D maps to 3D.
  • Instructions for using hide volumes and smoothly transitioning players through the map.

The revised descriptions enhance the original Curse of Strahd module, which you must obtain separately. If you are just starting your campaign, the source also recommends A Guide to the Curse of Strahd campaign.
